India, who have hosted the men’s World Cup thrice, has been named as host country for 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup to be conducted in the January 13 to 29, 2023 window.
India was among the three nations who have presented their bids to host the next edition of the men’s World cup.
Belgium and Malaysia were the other two nations who had also sent their bidding dossier to conduct the men’s event but they preferred to host the event in the July 1 to 17, 2022 window.
The decisions were made during FIH’s last meeting of the year on Friday by its Executive Board.
The FIH further said that the venues of the both the men’s and women’s World Cups will be announced by the host nations at a later date.
