The current on-going Test series between India and Australia is getting exciting with each day. Australians who are well-known for their sledging and making opposition uncomfortable with their continuous mockery are on the same path but this time in a subtler and funnier manner.

Australian captain Tim Paine is proving himself as the captain at sledging too. However, unlike the earlier Australian players Tim Paine’s sledging technique is subtler. He was already in talks for the sledging against Murali Vijay and a run-in incident with Indian captain Virat Kohli during the Perth Test, which could have led to an intense controversy but both the captains avoided the incident by saying it was all on the field.

On the second day of the Boxing Day Test, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara batted the entire first session with Tim Paine quiet behind the stumps. Soon after their dismissals, Paine started talking behind the stumps especially when Rohit Sharma was on strike.

The vice-captain of the Indian team for the ODI format Rohit Sharma played the Adelaide Test after which he was unavailable for the Perth Test following an injury and is now back in the squad at MCG for Boxing Day Test.

While Rohit Sharma was on strike and about to face the next ball, Paine loudly chatted to Aaron Finch the fielder at short-leg, about IPL to distract the Indian batsman.

“It’s a bit of a toss up between Royals and Indians for me. But if Rohit hits a six now, I’m changing to Mumbai,” Paine told Finch, which was caught up by the stump mic.

Paine further joked with Finch and said, “You’ve nearly played for every team now.” For which Finch replied, “Except Bangalore.”

“Except Bangalore?” Paine questioned.

Paine’s bantering was noticed by fans and soon they were all over social media talking about it, some people even found it epic and impressive.

During Perth Test Paine took to sledging Murali Vijay, he said, “Murali, I know he’s your captain. But you can’t seriously like him as a bloke.”
