The Indian Railways are planning to establish an affordable non-AC Vande Sadharan train with sleepers and general passenger service. According to the report, the relevant authorities have been working on this plan for quite some time and now have a comprehensive road map that seeks to make long train journeys more affordable for the general public.
According to reports, non-AC Vande Sadharan tain will be produced at IF Chennai, and the undertaking is anticipated to cost between Rs 64 crore and Rs 65 crore. However, the investment is still less than the fully air-conditioned Vande Bharat train, which costs Rs 100 crore.

The report indicates that by the end of the year, the general public will be able to experience long train rides and train service.

To accomplish effective acceleration, the Vande Sadharan train will be equipped with 24 LHB coaches and two locomotives at both ends. Both engines will use the push-pull method to govern the acceleration rate.

The upcoming Vande Sadharan train is anticipated to provide modern amenities such as a passenger information system, charging ports near seats, and bio-vacuum restrooms, among others, for the comfort of its passengers. In addition, the train will feature an automatic door system comparable to that of the Vande Bharat.
