Defining childhood romance in a whole new light, this couple’s sweet love story is winning hearts on the internet. This couple first met in preschool and tied in the knot in 2016.
As per reports, Laura Scheel and Matt Grodsky met when they were kids in preschool.
“One of my very first memories is of being 3 years old and standing up in front of my pre-school class, declaring that I would marry her someday”, Matt wrote.
They lost touch after school but reconnected later through a mutual friend. Laura and Matt totally hit it off, and were a couple within two weeks.
Now, as years have passed since their preschool love, Matt finally decided to “stay true to [his] preschool pledge”, Matt recalls.
Laura says that the two used to do almost everything in preschool together.
“I remember trying to impress her during a Cinco De Mayo celebration at the preschool where we were trying to break open a piñata,” Matt said.
“Fortunately, I was the kid who managed to do it and I assume it got her attention”
It was in May 2015 that Matt decided to propose to his childhood sweetheart at the place it all began…their preschool classroom.
Anxious, he proposed her.
“I dropped down on one knee while my brother came in with the phone, snapping photos,” Matt said.
Laura was shocked. “I gave her my pitch on why I wanted her to marry me and she said yes ― whew”, adds Matt.
The pair got married in December 2016, giving their relationship the status it deserved.
