The next iPhone lineup is expected to have six devices. Apple will continue selling the current models, which include the base iPhone, iPhone Pro, iPhone Pro Max, and iPhone Air. On top of these, the company may launch a foldable iPhone with the iPhone 18 series. This would be the first foldable iPhone from Apple, and it is expected to be very expensive.

Expected Release Date and Preorders
Apple usually announces its new iPhones in September, and it did the same this year with the iPhone 17 series on September 9. Experts believe Apple will follow the same pattern next year. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple might split the iPhone 18 launch. The iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, the foldable iPhone, and the next iPhone Air could launch together in September 2026. Preorders might start in the second week, with sales beginning the following week.
The other models, like the base iPhone 18 and a budget-friendly iPhone 18e, may launch in early 2027. This gives Apple some time between the devices to manage demand.
Price
There is no official word on the prices yet, but Apple may keep them similar to this year. The iPhone 18 might start at Rs 82,900, while the new iPhone Air could cost Rs 1,19,900. The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max may start at Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,49,900 in India. The foldable iPhone could cost around $2,000 (about Rs 1,76,000) in the US, and it may be higher in India.
Camera upgrades
Apple gave big camera upgrades in the iPhone 17 series, like an 18-megapixel front camera with Centre Stage and a 4x telephoto camera on Pro models. The iPhone 18 series may keep these sensors but add variable aperture to the main camera in Pro models.
This will help the camera handle light better, especially in dark places, and improve depth of field. The base iPhone 18 and iPhone Air may not get major camera changes. The foldable iPhone is expected to have a triple rear camera setup, similar to the Pro models.
