The 12th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) begins on March 23. The thrill of the IPL 2019 will be on its peak as the players are all set to battle out against each other to prove themselves better than the other players. The T20 format of IPL has showcased a number of talents since its emergence and we are hoping that these Indian batsmen won’t be disappointing their fans in IPL 2019.

Virat Kohli:

Indian skipper Virat Kohli who plays for the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore is believed to be one of the most consistent players in all formats of cricket. He is in a good form as he recently scored his 41st century against Australia in ODIs. In the last IPL season, RCB skipper had scored 530 runs with an average of 48.18 in 14 innings. Kohli’s best score in IPL 2018 was 92 not out. RCB have never won an IPL title and the fans are hoping that captain Kohli could possibly end this drought this season.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

The former Indian captain and widely known as captain cool, MS Dhoni has returned back in his smashing form as he has already scored 327 runs in 8 ODIs at an average of 81.75, since the beginning of 2019. In the previous IPL season, Chennai Super Kings skipper MSD scored 455 runs in 15 innings at an average of 75.83, including 3 half-centuries. During this time his best score was 79 not out. MSD never failed in thrilling his fans with his rocket sixes and presence of mind on the field, he always rocked in any circumstance. Last season in IPL, Dhoni remained not out in 9 out of the 15 innings he had played.

Dinesh Karthik:

The wicketkeeper-batsman for India and the Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik has continued his good form in the IPL 2018 since his sensational batting display in the Nidahas Trophy final against Bangladesh earlier last year. In the previous season Karthik has scored 498 runs at an average of 49.8 in 16 matches which includes 2 half centuries. KKR under DK made it to the IPL playoffs last year and won their first qualifier against Rajasthan Royals but got eliminated by SunRisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier. He remained not out in 6 innings out of the 16 games he featured in last season in IPL.

KL Rahul:

So far KL Rahul has not given many chances to play for Team India, but the opener for Kings XI Punjab was really effective in the 11th season of IPL as he has scored 659 runs in 14 matches at an average of 54.91, including 6 half-centuries. KL Rahul was the third highest run-getter in the IPL 2018 and second amongst the Indian batsmen. In the previous season the best score for KL Rahul was 95 not out. He is accepted to continue his smashing form in the IPL this season as well.

Rishabh Pant:

He was the second-most run-getter in IPL 2018, having played 3 matches less than the top placed Kane Williamson; Pant was just 51 runs away then the Kiwi skipper. Pant (68) scored the most number of boundaries in IPL 2018.
