IPL 2024 MI Preview: The Mumbai Indians are about to go through big changes. At this point, they will move into a new part of their past. Hardik Pandya has been captain of the five-time IPL winners for more than ten years. At the moment, he is the head coach of the Gujarat Titans. Customers of cricket have a lot of different thoughts on the new boss as long as Rohit Sharma is still on the team.
The Mumbai Indians had a terrible season in 2022 and came last. The next season, though, they made it to the playoffs. However, Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans won in the end. Hardik needs to win another IPL title with the Mumbai Indians. Done it with the Gujarat Titans already.
Suryakumar Yadav is a team member who will be missed. Still, they are glad to have Jasprit Bumrah back after being sick during the 2022 season. Bumrah’s return makes the team much better because he is one of the best bowlers in the tournament.
Strengths
The Mumbai Indians are one of the best teams in the IPL at getting runs. Tim David is one of the six best players on the team. The last five are Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Ishan Kishan. It will be hard to stop these six hitters once Nehal Wadhera joins them.
Your defense will have a dangerous edge because Jasprit Bumrah is in charge of the pitchers. When he is at his best, he is the perfect pitcher.
Weaknesses
The Mumbai Indians have a lot of skill in other areas, but they have trouble being agile. Piyush Chawla took more than 22 wickets for the team last season, but they don’t have any good back-ups.
The Indian spin attack doesn’t look very strong, even though Kumar Kartikeya, Shams Mulani, and Shreyas Gopal are all there.
