The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 indefinitely in light of the rising military conflict and escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, sources within the board confirmed on Thursday.

The decision comes hours after the IPL fixture between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was abruptly abandoned due to air raid alerts in the region. Floodlights were turned off mid-match, and players as well as spectators were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
