Flipkart was listing a subscription to Disney Plus Hotstar Premium for just Rs 99 a year. People were startled as the annual subscription price is Rs 1,499.
The Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription usually costs Rs 1,499 for a year and Flipkart’s listing by one of its largest sellers RetailNet discounted the subscription plan’s price by 93%. Users have taken it to Twitter, enraged over this sheer suddenness of Flipkart walking back on such an enticing offer.

However, in a report by The Indian Express, “The Disney Hotstar subscription offer was due to an unexpected error. We apologize for the inconvenience. Rest assured, all orders cancelled will be refunded”, Flipkart clarified.
To avoid such scams, it is advised that users refrain from other shopping apps providing massive discounts on the OTT platform. It is better to subscribe to the service from the official app or website of the streaming platform.
What if you took the subscription?
If you’re also among the people who quickly took this subscription for Rs 99, there’s no need to worry. The company will refund the money. Flipkart’s spokesperson regretted the inconvenience caused to customers. He said all orders have been cancelled, and all customers will be refunded their money.
Disney+ Hotstar VIP costs Rs. 399 a year, and Disney+ Hotstar Premium costs Rs. 1,499 a year.
