In a statement about the film, Ghosh said, “Jaane Jaan is based on the novel that has been the love of my life for a very long period. I wanted to translate Devotion of Suspect X into a film ever since I first read it. It was the most incredible love story I’d ever read, and due to Kareena, Jaideep, and Vijay, that story is now brought to life on film. We have all worked very hard to tell this tale, and we hope that the audience will enjoy it as much as we do.”
Jaane Jaan is produced by 12th Street Entertainment, Northern Lights Films, Kross Pictures, and Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Kross Pictures.
The premiere will occur on Netflix on September 21.
