Here is all the information you need about Killers of the Flower Moon.
What is the true narrative behind Killers of the Flower Moon, the Osage Murders?
The epic film is a western drama set during the 1920s. It traces the path and tragedy of the actual Osage murders, which are based on a true narrative. The plot of the film will revolve around murders that occurred in the Osage Nation in Oklahoma following the discovery of oil on tribal property.
Approximately sixty or more wealthy, full-blood Osage Indians were allegedly murdered between 1918 and 1931. Recent investigations indicate that other suspicious deaths during this period may have been misreported or covered-up homicides, including the deaths of future heirs to vast fortunes.
Scorsese’s film will be based on the nonfiction book ‘murderers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI’ by American journalist David Grann, which examines the murderers.
