“25 years, 17 films later I had to give my audience something bigger and better. Mumbai Saga is by far my most ambitious film which needed a visionary producer. And I am grateful to Bhushan Kumar for putting his faith and might in it. It is one such story that needs to be said on screen,” Sanjay Gupta said in a statement, as reported by a leading news agency.
It will be based on true incidents and will showcase action as well. John and Emraan will be playing the leading men and the story will be set around important historical events that took place in Bombay back then. One of the leads will be playing a cop and the other will be a gangster.
