Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is a gorgeous actress who wooed the audiences with her performances in movies like ‘Kick’, ‘Judwaa 2’, ‘Murder 2’ and many more. As per the latest report in the Mumbai Mirror, the actress will be seen in the biopic of cyclist Deborah Herold.
A source confirming this news to the tabloid said that Jacqueline really liked the script and has verbally given nod to the project. “It’s an inspiring story and she is looking forward to prep which will include some arduous training. The film is expected to roll next year,” added the source.
For the uninitiated, Deborah is an Indian cyclist who grew up the Car Nicobar in the Nicobar Islands.
When in 2004, a tsunami hit Port Blair she was just nine-years-old and the kiddo spent over a week stuck in a tree till someone came to rescue her. That’s such an inspiration. She lives in New Delhi, and trains at the Velodrome in the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.
Deborah is the first Indian cyclist in the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) and holds the fourth rank. She is now prepping for the 2020 Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo.
Deborah bagged two gold medals at the Track Asia Cup in the 500-meter time trial in the year 2014. In 2015, she won five medals at the Taiwan Cup Track International Classic.
It would be great to see Jacqueline in the role of Deborah as the actress has a chiselled body of an athletics. However, with no official confirmation regarding this project all we can do is wait and watch.
