New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release JEE Main card 2020 soon. Students can expect the release date of downloading of admit card by August 17 on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
The engineering entrance test — Joint Entrance Examination Main — is slated from September 1 to September 6, 2020. Earlier, NTA said that JEE Main admit card 2020 date will be released 15 days prior to the conduct of the exam and therefore, it can be expected any time soon.
“The dates of downloading the admit card indicating roll number and centre of the examination will be displayed 15 days before the conduct of the examination on the official website of NTA and JEE Mains,” an official statement said.
Candidates are required to download the JEE mains admit card 2020 from the official website by using their JEE Main login details such as their application number and date of birth or password and security pin.
The JEE Main admit card is an important document that the candidates must bring to the exam centre. Details such as name, roll number, state of eligibility, JEE Main exam centre address, etc. are mentioned on the JEE Main admit card 2020.
Steps to download JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?
JEE Main admit card 2020 will be available on the official website. By following these steps and instructions, you can easily download the admit card:
- Visit the official website of JEE Main 2020
- Click on the JEE Mains admit card login tab
- Two options to choose from:
a. Download admit card through application number and password or
b. Download admit card through application number and date of birth
- Click on the desired option
- Input your application number, password/date of birth and security code
- Your admit card will be displayed
- Download, save and take a print out of it for further use
Previously, JEE main 2020 was supposed to be conducted in July but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the entrance examination was delayed to September.
JEE Main Admit Card 2020: Website to check
Candidates will be able to download JEE Main 2020 admit card from nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in. After downloading, candidates have to carefully preview the instructions and the details on the admit card.
In case of any error on the JEE Main admit card 2020, candidates should immediately contact the authorities or candidates are required to immediately mail to [email protected]
On the exam day, candidates must bring printouts of their JEE main admit card, along with a valid photo ID and recent passport size photograph. Without these, candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.
JEE Main 2020: Exam Dress Code
- Candidates will not be allowed to carry metallic objects– jewelry, ornaments, watch, etc to the JEE Main 2020 exam hall.
- Candidates who wear kara or kirpan due to religious reasons, have to report to the exam centre 1.5 hours before the gate closing time and must inform the officials.
- Covering heads with cap, dupatta, etc is prohibited unless it is a customary dress.
- Handbags, stationery items, electronic and communication devices are not allowed inside the exam venue.
- Taking note of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, candidates will be expected to dress in accordance with the health ministry guidelines that include face masks, gloves, etc.
- Candidates may report quite early so that they can enter in a phased manner.
