In an appalling incident from Jharkhand, two groups went into a dispute over rumours of spreading corona infection in Gumla. A young man was killed while the other was seriously injured.
The entire matter is being monitored by the state police headquarters level after the incident. In addition to Ranchi dig, Gumla SP Anjani Kumar Jha was camping on the spot with the team force.
According to the information, rumours had spread in the Sisai area of Gumla that people from one side were roaming in the villages and were spitting around in order to spread corona infection.
Amidst the rumour, a young man was found roaming near Bhadauli village in Sisai police station area. The people of Bhadauli assaulted him around 8 pm.
After beating the young man, the people of Basia Road became agitated. The agitated mob was moving towards Bhadauli. On the way, a young man from Kundra village was found and beaten by an agitated mob.
People from both sides were gathered after the incident. The young man injured in the attack was taken to Gumla Referral Hospital late in the night where he died. District Council President Kiran Bala, who arrived at the referral hospital after the incident, confirmed her death.
After the incident, several officers of the district administration and police departments reached Sisai at night. In view of the situation, a large number of security forces have been deployed on the spot.
On the other hand, the young man injured in the mob attack of Bhadauli has been sent to rims for better treatment. According to the family members of the injured youth, he is mentally weak.
