A 27-year-old, Kannada playback singer, Sushmita was found dead at her home, she was found hanging in her house in the morning in Annapoorneshwari Nagar. Minutes before committing suicide, Sushmita sent a Whatsapp voice note to her mother regarding committing suicide.
According to reports, Sushmita committed suicide because she was being harassed by her husband. Relatives also allegedly said that her husband was demanding more dowry and that pressure made her kill herself.
Sushmita’s suicide voice note to her mother said that do not leave his husband and take strict action against him. She also talked about the difficulties she was facing in the marriage and how her husband assaulted her. She further said that she did not even want to die at his place instead she took the decision to commit the suicide at her own home.
Sushmita was married to Sharat Kumar, a private company employee, it is also reportedly said that husband Shara Kumar has fled away and police have been looking for him. The case has been reported to Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station.
