Kerala: Two members commission clear MLA Sasi from sexual assault allegation

Kerala: CPM suspends MLA PK Sasi for 6 months

Thiruvananthapuram: Communist Party of India Marxist (CPM) Member of Legislative Assembly from Shoranur PK Sasi, who was facing a sexual assault complaint by the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) woman leader, is cleared from the charge by the Two member commission.

The report submitted by the commission said that Sasi didn’t commit sexual assault, rather he misbehaved with the complainant over the phone. The commission has included the phone conversation ass evidence.

CPM has appointed a two-member committee led by minister PK Sreemathi and AK Balan to probe the issue. The state secretariat is examining the explanation of MLA Sasi and sources closed to the party has said action is likely against him.

In the meanwhile, Sasi has made it clear that he is ready to face any action by the party.
