The actor’s new flick Kesari has opened with a bang on the box office and has collected hefty amount on the very first day. Akshay Kumar film has collected Rs 21.50 crore on the first day.
After clocking a hefty amount on the very first day, the film has made a new record by being the highest opening weekend of 2019.
now the film on its 7th day has broken a new record, the film has entered Rs 100 crore club and has become the faster Rs 100 cr grosser of 2019. The film collected Rs 6.52 crore on Wednesday taking the total to Rs 100.01 crore, confirms trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The historical drama has impressed the critics and is getting rave reviews. Also, the film has managed to draw the attention of the audience to the theatre. Kesari opened on 4200 screens across the world and 3600 screens across the country.
The film is helmed by Anurag Singh and it features Akshay as Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army in the Battle Of Saragarhi, which was fought in 1897. The film tells the incredible story of 21 Sikh soldiers fighting valiantly against 10,000 Afghan troops.
The film also stars Parineeti Chopra and was released on the festival of Holi.
