KLF 2026: Day Three of the 12th Kalinga Literary Festival 2026 turned Bhubaneswar into a lively space of stories, thoughts, and deep talks. Writers, teachers, poets, thinkers, artists, filmmakers, and policy experts came together from India and other countries.
The day started with calm and emotional talks. One session spoke about school teachers and how they guide children and shape society for life. The speakers shared simple stories and lessons. At the same time, former IPS officer and writer Amit Lodha talked about his life in the police and his writing. He shared real stories about duty, work, and experiences from public service.

Language and Culture Stories
As the day went on poetry and stories became the main focus. Hindi poetry sessions talked about feelings society and today’s changing writing style. Another session looked at how artificial intelligence may change stories in the future. Speakers said creativity can still grow even with new technology.
Many sessions celebrated language diversity and cultural exchange. Writers spoke about translating stories and writing for readers across the world. Nepali literature also got special attention, with authors discussing how local stories now reach global readers. One important international session explored the shared history of Sri Lanka and Kalinga, reminding everyone of old cultural ties that still matter today.
Women writers and thinkers had a strong presence all day. Many sessions talked about women’s stories and women characters in books. Speakers shared how female voices shape literature and culture.
Policy Talks, Films, and More
Beyond books, Day Three also opened space for talks on public policy, leadership, and social change. Experts discussed how India faces many global changes at the same time. Other sessions spoke about leadership, culture, and building institutions that protect memory and meaning. Film and media sessions explored how cinema and journalism can influence society and act as tools for change.

The evening ended on a high note with poetry and performance. A special Hindi Mushaira filled the hall with powerful verses and applause. Multilingual poetry sessions also reflected the rich literary spirit of India and South Asia.
