Budget And OTT Plans
Reports say Parasakthi is made on a very large budget. A Times of India report claims the movie cost around ₹141.5 crore. This makes it one of the most expensive films in Sivakarthikeyan’s career so far. The makers spent a lot to give the movie a grand look and feel.
On the digital side there is also news. According to a report by OTTplay Zee5 has bought the streaming rights of Parasakthi. This means the movie may come on Zee5 after its theatre run ends. Still the team has not made any official announcement about the OTT release yet.
Day 1 Box Office Faces Tough Competition
Even with high expectations the movie did not get a very strong start on its first day. Many viewers and critics gave mixed reactions. Because of this the early box office numbers stayed lower than expected. As per Sacnilk real time data Parasakthi earned around ₹4.41 crore till 5:15 PM on Day 1. Evening and night shows were still left so the final number may change.
The theatre occupancy also showed mixed interest. Morning shows recorded 45.71% occupancy while afternoon shows went up to 62.13%.
