Joynagar: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Biswanath Das survived a fatal attack on Thursday night when dozens of unidentified men attacked his vehicle with bombs and bullets. Three persons shot dead in this shootout at a petrol pump in Joynagar area on Thursday night.
Das who had got down from his vehicle few minutes before is safe but three men including the driver died in this attack.
As per the police information, Joynagar Legislator Das who was returning after attending a public program got down from his SUV and stopped for having tea, in the meantime the driver and two other supporters went to fill the petrol in the car from a nearby petrol pump.
His driver, One TMC worker, Saifuddin Khan, President, Jay Hind Bahini has been shot dead. The TMC legislator Das said that this attack was planned to kill him but he was not in the car and survived. Police was informed immediately after the incident and they are investigating the matter.
Superintendent of Police has reached the spot and the probe is going on to nab the culprits.
