Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav‘s biopic is set to be made and the film is titled Lalten, which is also the symbol of his political party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Bhojpuri actor Yash Kumar will play the titular role of the Bihar CM.
The film is likely to be released in February next year, a news agency was quoted Yash as saying. Smriti Sinha will portray the role of Lalu’s wife Rabri Devi in the film, he added. The film will be shot across the state of Bihar and Gujarat.
For those unaware, Lalu Yadav, 71 is a political leader who has served as the Chief Minister of Bihar from 1990 to 1997. He was chosen as the Member of Parliament (MP) from Chhapra thrice and has also served as Railway Minister. His wife Rabri Devi too has served as the Chief Minister of Bihar from 1997 to 2005.
Yadav is a famous personality in the state of Bihar and has appeared in a numerous reality TV show. He is the founder and former leader of the RJD, which he started in 1997. However, Lalu is currently lodged in prison owing to multiple fodder scam during his regime in Bihar.
