Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023) Gaming Tablet: Last year, Lenovo debuted the Legion Y700 gaming tablet in China. Recently, the brand has begun previewing its successor via its official Weibo account. The new tablet will also be known as the Lenovo Legion Y700 and will feature significant SoC, RAM, and software enhancements.

The Snapdragon + Gen 1 SoC will replace the Snapdragon 870 featured in the previous year’s model of the Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023 model). This upgraded chip is anticipated to significantly improve the functionality of the tablet. Users can anticipate a 31% increase in single-core performance, a 23% increase in multicore performance, and a near doubling of GPU performance. In addition, the use of a reduced 4nm manufacturing process will contribute to the chip’s improved energy efficiency.

Even for a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, the new tablet’s Antutu score of 1,393,05 points is quite impressive, according to the manufacturer. In addition, the Legion Y700 (2023) could come with as much as 12GB or even 16GB of RAM, which would be extremely useful for gaming and multitasking. The tablet is rumoured to include ZUI 15 based on Android 13. In addition to teasing that this will also be an 8-inch tablet, Lenovo has reserved additional information for the July 22 launch event. Therefore, let’s examine the previous model to determine what to anticipate from the new model.

Lenovo Legion Y700 (2023) Gaming Tablet: Specifications

The Lenovo Legion Y700 is an 8.8-inch tablet with a high-resolution LCD display of 2560 by 1600 pixels. With a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, it provides a seamless user experience. The tablet’s display supports 100 percent of the DCI P3 colour gamut, guaranteeing accurate and vibrant colours.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the Legion Y700, which has a slender body. It has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, allowing for ample capacity for storing files and running applications. The tablet’s battery has a capacity of 6,550 mAh and is capable of rapid charging at 45W, allowing it to keep up with intensive usage. In addition, an effective cooling system with an 8500mm2 vapour chamber prevents overheating during strenuous duties.

The photography capabilities of the Legion Y700 include an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for photographs and a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. These cameras enable users to capture photographs with clarity and precision.

In terms of connectivity, the tablet features a 3.5mm headphone port, a volume rocker, an on/off button, and a button for accessing the resource monitoring window in gaming mode. These characteristics contribute to the convenience and usability of the experience.
