With Lok Sabha polls just days, the Election Commission of India is working round the clock to make sure the preparation for the elections keeps its pace and all goes well on the D days! The largest democracy in the world will go for elections in the first phase on April 11 to elect 543 members to the Lok Sabha.
If you don’t know your polling booth yet, no need to wait for the very last minute, now you can check with the help of the internet all the details regarding your constituency and polling booth on the official website.
Follow the steps mentioned below to know your polling booth
- Log on to the website https://electoralsearch.in/
- Fill basic details such as your full name, gender, constituency
- There is an option to select the constituency on the map too
- Click on submit button to know your details
- All details of the voter such as name, assembly constituency, Lok Sabha constituency, voter card number, including booth name and polling station will be displayed on the screen
- If you have not received the voter card, you can vote citing the voter card ID but need to carry a valid identity card.
The Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha election on March 10 at a press conference at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Election Commission of India had announced that the general elections will begin on April 11, with the last phase taking place on May 19, the counting of votes is slated to take place on May 23.
This time, more than 900 million people above the age of 18 are expected to cast their ballots at a million polling stations. Of the total electorate, 15 million will be in the age group of 18 to 19 years.
