Just like getting a driving license, we all wait to get our hands on our voter ID. Voting in an election is one of the experiences we all look forward to. With Lok Sabha Elections months away, budding voters and experienced ones all would want to avail the opportunity to vote for their favorite candidate.

But what if at last moment you find out that your name is not their in the voting list and you lose out the chance to make a difference in the largest electoral in the world, the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. To be prepared for any such situation, why not check before in hand if all is well?

No need to wait for the very last minute, now you can check with the help of the internet or better just your mobile phone to know if your name is present in the voting list.

Here are the steps!

  • The National Voters’ Services Portal will come to the rescue. On the website, nvsp.in, the official portal, by clicking on the search button.
  • You will then be redirected to another website (electoralsearch.in).

  • Here, you will get your electoral details by just looking up your name, adding further details to make search more specific.

  • In case you are a resident of Bihar, Tamil and Andhra Pradesh, more hurrah! As from these states, one can check his name by using the SMS service. Citizens can enter their 10 digit Election Identification Number and send it to 56677.
