London Mosque attack: Man arrested for offensive content on Twitter

According to PTI reports, a man, 37-year-old, has been arrested over an offensive post on Twitter after London Mosque attack in which he said that it is shame they do not hire out tanks. The man is believed to be the son of the co-owner of a company whose vehicle was used in London mosque attack. He is currently in police custody.

A spokesperson for South Wales informed that the man has been arrested on suspicious of displaying abusive content, likely to stir up racial hatred.

Comments by ‘Richard Gear Evans’ on Facebook and Twitter read: “It’s a shame that van was a nice drive as well”.

“.. Glad I’m not running the van hire. The police would not like what my answer would be. It’s my Dad’s company, I don’t get involved. It’s a shame they don’t hire out Steam Rollers or Tanks could have done a tidy job then”

The Sun reported that the comments and account profiles for ‘Richard Gear Evans’ appear to have since been deleted.
