Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: Injury Update on MI batter Tilak Varma

On Wednesday (May 24), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL). LSG won their last three encounters in the IPL 2023, while MI gained momentum in the second half of the season. Possibly, Rohit Sharma and his team got lucky when Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), allowing Mumbai Indians to ascend to fourth place. In defiance of numerous injuries that have hampered their season, they have performed exceptionally well.

Interestingly, before the left-handed Tilak Varma suffered an injury, he was their best hitter in the first few matches. Since the match against Punjab Kings on May 3, there has been a great deal of uncertainty regarding his fitness. Currently, Tilak Varma appears to have regained his complete health.

Even though there has been no official announcement, he was listed as a substitute in the previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In addition, he was suited up in the dugout but did not bat due to Cameron Green’s astonishing century.
Depending on the outcome of the coin toss, Tilak Varma may continue to perform the Impact Substitute role in the Eliminator match against LSG. If MI bat first, he will undoubtedly be included in the playing XI and will be eager to make a significant impact with his batting.
