On September 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in an event for the Bohra community in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. One of the pictures from the same program of PM was morphed and shared on Facebook.

A complaint was lodged by Indore Development Authority president Shankar Lalwani, in Palasia police station. Police have registered the complaint under section 505(2) and IT act against Balmukund Singh Gautam.

Gautam is a Congress leader from Dhar district. He allegedly photoshopped the PM’s image and put a skull cap on his head and then posted it from his Facebook account. It is learnt that as he shared the image from his account it went viral and created a storm and a widespread debate on social media platforms.

The image of Modi, which has gone viral, had a cap on the PM’s head, but he actually didn’t wear the cap in the Bohra Community program. This image had created a stir in Indore’s political spectrum. Now after the complaint, the police is investigating the Facebook ID holder person and his social media account on Facebook.
