A man who travelled 1400 km for 14 days from Bihar to Ujjain on bicycle as he was summoned before a Madhya Pradesh Court over a case was garlanded and sent to jail.

The man has been identified as Mukesh who hails from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Followed by a brawl between Mukesh and one of his villagers a case was registered against him years ago.

Mukesh married a Bihari woman and was settled in Sitamarhi district of Bihar for years now. When Madhya Pradesh Court issued a warrant against the case and was summoned before the court, Mukesh travelled for 1400 km for 14 days from Bihar to Ujjain on a bicycle as no direct bus or train are available from Sitamarhi to Ujjain.

According to the report, the Madhya Pradesh police told Mukesh to appear before the court as there was nothing to worry over the small case. On his way, Mukesh had run out of money and therefore, worked for three days to arrange money.

Upon his arrival in the court, the police garlanded Mukesh and later, he was sent to jail.

In the country where fraud like Vijay Mallya owes a Rs 9,000 crore from  17 Indian banks and is accused of money laundering cases and eloped from the country, there are also people like Mukesh.
