In a shocking yet bizarre incident reported, a 40-year-old college teacher upset over his wife’s affair, hanged his two minor daughters to death late on Tuesday night. Later, he sent a picture of the two girls hanging to his estranged wife on WhatsApp and then ended his life too in Maharashtra’s Ballarpur.
As per the reports, the incident happened at around 1AM at the home of the deceased ITI teacher Rishikant Kudupalli.
As per the complaint lodged by the man’s brother, Gopal Kudupalli, deceased man’s wife Pragati had eloped with the driver a few days ago, leaving the man and the two daughters behind.
Upset over this, Rishikant hanged both his daughters identified as six-year-old Narayani and 18-month-old Kartiki. He then clicked their photos and after sending them to his wife, committed suicide at his home in Ballarpur, 170 kms from Nagpur.
Their bodies were recovered early this morning by relatives and neighbours who informed the police.
Police have registered a case against Pragati and Khan under several sections of the Indian Penal Code including murder, abetment to suicide, torture and other sections.
