Man unable to get toddy commits suicide by electrocuting himself in Hyderabad

The family members of Lakmaih said that he went out on Monday night and committed suicide by catching the nearby electricity transformer.

A toddy addict man committed suicide by self electrocuting himself at Kothur Mandal of Rangareddy district. The man was identified as Lakshmaih.

Laksmaiah was a native of Kodcherla village and was addicted and has withdrawal symptoms. The man was unable to find toddy due to the lockdown that was announced to curb the spread of coronavirus. According to the police, Lakshmaih was depressed after he failed to get toddy and he showed withdrawal symptoms.

The family members of Lakmaih said that he went out on Monday night and committed suicide by catching the nearby electricity transformer.

The police registered a suspicious death case and launched an investigation.

Recently, a similar case came close by, the man was identified as Azaz from Nizabad stabbed himself when he failed to get toddy. He was suffering an injury in his intestine and later was shifted to Bodhan area hospital for treatment. The family members of Azaz said that he was behaving all strange from the last few days.
