ICAI CA 2018 Topper update: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced the ICAI CA Result November 2018 today, January 23, 2019. Shadab Hussain (resident of Kota) and Siddhant Bhandari (resident of Jodhpur) have emerged as the ICAI CA 2018 toppers. Hussain has scored 597 out of 800 with a 74.63 per cent marks.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday extended his best wishes to CA exam topper Shadab Hussain, who cleared the exam in the very first attempt.
“Congratulations, Shadab. I feel very proud of you. I extend my best wishes to you for the journey ahead,” Gandhi wrote on Facebook.
While Shadab Hussain has secured 74.63 per cent marks, Siddhant Bhandari has topped in his group with 69.38 per cent marks.
Shadab Hussain completed B.Com from Kota University. His father is a tailor and has studied till class 10. His mother is a school drop-out. Hussain is the only brother of four sisters. Despite his parents being less educated, they worked hard to give him proper schooling.
“I studied day-and-night to earn a job so that my parents do not have to bother about their old age. I thought of Chartered Accountancy (CA) to be a niche profession where one can learn throughout their life. After due consideration and research I set my mind to become a CA,” Hussain told Indian Express.
Last year, the overall pass percentage was at about 9.89 per cent.

Atul Agarwal, resident of Jaipur boy, emerged as the topper of CA Final June 2018 exam by scoring 618/800 marks (77. 25%). The 22-year old All India Rank 1. He is the only candidate in the history of ICAI to score the highest ever marks (83) in Audit paper.
