Perhaps the most ‘tech-savvy’ golgappa wala ever, Patna’s Satyam offers people the option of paying through mobile-based app- Paytm. This 12th pass vendor near Women’s college Magadh, hails from Samastipur, Bihar and comes from a humble background.
His father is a farmer and he plans to pursue his education by enrolling in graduation programme next year. The proliferation of technology to the smallest of places is amazing as many in the vicinity have followed his example by offering the same ‘Paytm-e wallet’ service.
“It is far more convenient as there is no hassle to look for change , and saves us the trouble of standing in queues for paying,” says Mandvi, a student.
“It also saves me the hassle of keeping a lot of khulla-paisa on the stall and makes my customers happy, says Satyam.
