MF Hussain Birth anniversary: The Pablo Picasso Of India Maqbool Fida Hussain is one of the most talented Indian artists of the 21st century. He is popularly known as MF Hussain who made a huge contribution to the history of art. His paintings depicted different social and mythology issues. Hussain was a self-taught artist who started his career by painting posters of the entertainment industry.
People associate MF Hussain with Indian modernism, he was the founder of the Bombay Progressive Artists group. The great artist is known for his paintings in series which depicted the new India after Independence in the Cubist style.
