Actor Akshay Kumar announced the theatrical release date of Mission Raniganj via his social media accounts.The release date of the teaser is September 8, 2023. The film’s principal photography began in July 2022 and concluded in August 2023.

The screenplay is by Vipul K Rawal. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor under the aegis of Pooja Entertainment. The film’s cinematographer is Aseem Mishra, and its distribution partner is PVR Pictures.

Storyline

The film is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 65 miners during the Raniganj Coalfields collapse in West Bengal in 1989.
