Mizoram: 117 people having coronavirus symptoms sent to isolation homes

With the help of her bus ticket details, her phone number was traced and she was told called to the health department office

In Mizoram, a total of 117 people with novel coronavirus-like symptoms have been sent to quarantined spaces.

Mizoram health department principal director F. Lallianhlira on Sunday stated, “the people have been put in home isolation just as a precautionary measure. He also said that the state as of now do not have any reports of any positive cases of COVID-19 till now.”

“Even though no positive case has been reported, we have to remain alert,” he said

The Mizoram Government has even launched call centre numbers and helpline numbers to meet any emergency related to coronavirus.

Helpline numbers having facilities of being toll-free 102 helplines are also there, which will be manned 24×7 at the call centre, said an official statement on Thursday.

It said that people can make calls, seek assistance and furnish reports related to the deadly disease on 0389-2323336, 0389-2322336 and 0389-2318336.

The government has strictly restricted mass gathering and social events happening the state.NGOs, educational institutions, churches and other organisations were instructed to avoid mass gathering and a big event to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus in the state.

Coronavirus has begun to become a pandemic disease. Affecting near about 10,000 people and killing 2 infected people in the country the govt, authorities are trying to cut the problem in its root.
