Motorola Razr 40 Ultra: After months of disclosures and rumours, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra was released alongside the Razr 40 in China earlier this week. On the global market, the devices have also been announced, but under distinct names. The Indian market was excluded, however. Motorola has now teased the launch of the Razr 40 Ultra in the country, so it appears that this will shortly be rectified. Herein are the specifics.

The Razr 40 Ultra has the largest mobile phone cover screen. In a recent tweet, Motorola teased the launch of the Razr 40 Ultra in India by asserting, “A FLIPIN’ awesome gift awaits.” The company published a video displaying the outline of a mobile smartphone with a large cover screen. This smartphone is likely the Ultra model, as the standard version has a cover screen resembling a thin bar. In the tweet, the Lenovo-owned company did not reveal the device’s release date or any other information.

The Moto Razr 40 Ultra has the largest clamshell foldable display to date, with a 3.6-inch external display. The cover screen is comprised of a 10-bit AMOLED display with a 1066 x 1056 pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The best aspect is that the external display can be used for nearly everything, just like the internal display.

The device’s primary LTPO AMOLED display measures 6.69 inches and offers FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, HDR10+ support, and 1,400 nits of maximum brightness. The smartphone features an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) panel with five layers of protection and no breach when the device is closed. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and features a 12MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultrawide camera that serves as a macro camera.
