MS Dhoni and childhood pal Arun Pandey no longer on talking terms?

Rumours are rife that MS Dhoni and his childhood friend Arun Pandey are no longer on talking terms. Now just in case you’re asking who is Arun Pandey, well let us quickly run you through about his role in Dhoni’s life. Pandey may have started off by bowling left arm deliveries to give practice to Dhoni, but he soon started his sports management company, Rhiti Sports and signed up Dhoni for a whopping mount. It is reported that Dhoni’s brand value jumped after he joined hands with Pandey from Rs 40 crore it became Rs 100 crore in no time.

Rhiti Sports naturally prospered, and within no time, the company also had Saina Nehwal, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina, Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh on board. Pandey also had something to do in setting up the Sushant Singh starrer MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Its’ said that it was Pandey who first came up with the idea of the Dhoni biopic after encountering an incident at the airport after the 2011 World Cup. Later, Pandey produced the film with Fox Star Studios.

Due to overwhelming response received by the film makers decided to have a sequel to the Dhoni biopic. The part 2 would focus on Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) being banned for 2 years in IPL and then the Captain Cool coming back (from the Pune team) to register his 3rd win for CSK.However sources say that Dhoni and Pandey might not be working together anymore.

Sources report that Dhoni’s work is now largely being handled by his wife Sakshi and two other childhood friends Seemant Lohani (aka Chittu in the biopic) and former cricketer Mihir Diwakar. “Pandey is not much in the picture anymore,” the source adds. However, neither Dhoni or Pandey have released any official statement about their fall-out. We had previously reported how Sushant Singh Rajput was keen to play Dhoni once again on the big screen, but seems like he would have to wait for that to happen again.

Let’s wait and watch if Dhoni has to say anything on this, soon. Is Pandey still working with him with same gusto as before, or is it now Sakshi, Mihir and Seemant in his place? Till then, we are making peace with Pandey’s denial. But mind you, there is no official movement (on script) or statement (from Fox Star) on the MS Dhoni: The Untold Story Part 2 yet.
