A 67-year-old man identified as Rajendra was arrested in Mumbai for murdering his daughter’s boyfriend Surendra Mishra (29). Investigation revealed that the father was against the relationship of his daughter with Surendra. Along with Rajendra, two others have been arrested for being involved with the murderer.

According to the investigations until now, while the deceased was traveling to meet someone, Surendra had received a call from an unknown person on July 14, following which he had gone missing.

The Thane police have revealed that Surendra was looking to rent a house in the city as the couple planned to marry soon. Thus, he had contacted some real estate agents for the same. When Surendra was on route to meet the agent, he was asked to sit in a car and forcibly taken to Thane’s Kopri area. Surendra was murdered there by his girlfriend’s father, Rajendra Towards (47), and two other accomplices.

Police pulled out Surendra’s call data records (CDR) and found the two numbers from which he had received calls on the day he went missing. The numbers helped the police nab the accused.
