Nasire Best White House Shooting: Suspect Called Himself ‘Jesus’ and ‘Osama Bin Laden’

Nasire Best White House Shooting:A major security scare unfolded near the White House after a gunman identified in media reports as Nasire Best allegedly opened fire close to a Secret Service checkpoint, triggering an immediate lockdown and a massive federal response. Reports emerging from multiple US media outlets claim the 21-year-old suspect had previously made disturbing online posts targeting US President Donald Trump and referred to himself as the “real Osama bin Laden” and “Jesus Christ.”

Who Was Nasire Best?

According to reports cited by major news outlets, Nasire Best was a 21-year-old Maryland resident who had allegedly come to the attention of law enforcement several times before the shooting incident near the White House complex. Investigators reportedly came across a troubling digital footprint, with some bizarre social media claims, and threatening rhetoric directed toward Donald Trump, in a way that feels more and more unsettling.

Authorities are still running a full investigation, and a few of the details floating around online have not been independently confirmed by federal agencies yet. Still, reports say Best had prior run-ins with the U.S. Secret Service, after getting close to restricted White House areas in earlier situations.

Several reports, including those citing investigative findings and court records, claim Best had posted messages expressing hostility toward Donald Trump before the shooting. CNN-linked reporting referenced by other outlets stated investigators found at least one online post indicating a desire to harm the US president.

Laura Loomer claimed on X that Best had posted violent comments related to Donald Trump months before the shooting. Loomer wrote, “The shooter at the White House today, identified as a black male named Nasire Best, made previous threats of assassinating President Trump on his TikTok. This was posted on his TikTok on December 9, 2025.”

She further added, “He said if he were the Butler shooter, Trump would be dead. Thank God the shooter has been killed. I’m sure his friends will say he Dindu Nuffin… they always do.”

Officials have also not yet confirmed whether Trump himself was the direct target of the attack. However, this incident has intensified a lot of concerns about political violence and security threats that are circling around the White House.

“Real” Osama Bin Laden Claims

One of the most shocking parts coming out of the investigation, involves reports that Best apparently referred to himself online as the “real” Osama bin Laden, the former Al-Qaeda leader who was tied to the September 11 terror attacks on the United States. Investigators are reportedly looking into whether those remarks really showed extremist ideology, mental instability, or maybe a more vanity fueled attempt to get attention in the online sphere.

Court records and police encounters cited by media outlets suggest Best had displayed erratic behavior before the shooting. Reports state he previously identified himself as “God” and “Jesus Christ” during interactions with officers near the White House complex.

Another post reportedly included the statement, “I’m actually the son of God.”

In one earlier incident, he was reportedly taken for a mental health evaluation after allegedly blocking vehicles near the White House security area. A judge later ordered him to stay away from the presidential complex following repeated encounters with authorities.

What Happened During the White House Shooting?

The shooting reportedly occurred near a security checkpoint outside the White House on Saturday evening. Secret Service personnel responded immediately after the suspect allegedly opened fire. Officials said agents returned fire, fatally wounding the suspect. A bystander was also reportedly injured during the chaos.

At the time of the incident, Donald Trump was reportedly inside the White House. Security personnel placed the complex on temporary lockdown as federal investigators, including the FBI, rushed to the scene.

Investigation Underway

Federal authorities have not yet released a final motive behind the attack. Investigators are reviewing the suspect’s online activity, previous encounters with law enforcement, and mental health history. In a Truth Social statement, Trump said the suspect had a “violent history” and a “possible obsession” with the White House.

“This event is one month removed from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, and it goes to show how important it is for all future Presidents to get what will be the safest and most secure space of its kind ever built in Washington, D.C. The National Security of our Country demands it,” Trump said.

Officials are also examining whether the shooting was politically motivated or connected to broader extremist behavior.
