Before rejoicing in their absence, remember them with fondness.

Make everything about you!
For those recently divorced, today is an excellent time to concentrate on oneself. There are many activities that are simpler when you are single and do not have to consider the opinion of another individual. Therefore, compose a list of five goals you wish to achieve as a single man or woman. This will provide you with focus and enable you to begin making progress, as opposed to languishing in bed or consuming a third wine spritzer.
Time spent with your children
It is a wonderful time to embrace them and give thanks for the loveliness that resulted from your union. Enjoy ice cream while listening to their laughter (or their whining). You can sit there and smirk, knowing that they inherited the best characteristics from you and the worst ones from your ex.

Do you still possess a few items that remind you of your ex-partner? Place them in the trunk of your vehicle, drive to the nearest donation centre, and give them to someone else. If this seems like an excessive amount of energy to invest in an ex, burn these items in a conflagration. National Ex-Spouse Day is a positive holiday, we understand what you’re saying. Don’t overlook the pleasant feelings
Many individuals become Bitter Bettys (or Bobs) when their ex-spouse is mentioned. But, need we remind you, today is not the time to judge them negatively? (or your relationship). Remember the motives that prompted you to walk down the aisle at your major wedding, or to drive-thru in Las Vegas. Consider the joyful moments that made you laugh and develop as a unit.
You are no longer required to tolerate their irritating behaviours.
What was your ex-most spouse’s irritating characteristic? (Relax, we don’t have a lot of time here.) From chewing gum to lavatory etiquette, it is cause for celebration that you no longer have to deal with them. We will, however, require that you balance each negative notion with a happy one, as today is ostensibly a holiday celebrating positivity.
However, I’m still wedded.
There are still things you can do to celebrate National Ex-Spouse Day if you’re still in a joyful marriage (or on your fifth). Consider what makes your relationship work and what you find so endearing about that special someone. Nevertheless, if you’re unhappy in your marriage, today might be a good time to contemplate making them your (fifth) ex-spouse. We do not encourage; we simply state.
