HISTORY OF NATIONAL RANCH WATER DAY

What is Ranch Water, and why does it merit a day of celebration? Those who have sampled the delectable alcoholic beverage will understand what we mean. The cocktail Ranch Water is composed of citrus, sparkling mineral water, and tequila. However, the sparkling water used in the cocktail is Topo Chico, a Mexican mineral water brand.

Due to the use of regional ingredients, Ranch Water is a drink that is unique to Mexico and ranks among the most popular in the country. A trip to Mexico is not complete until the cocktail has been sampled.

Ranch Water, like any other cocktail, was initially conceived as an experiment. Kevin Williamson, the award-winning proprietor of Ranch 616, invented the cocktail in Austin almost fifteen years ago. Initially, he continued to add mineral water to his margarita as he drank it. As he began to appreciate the flavour, he considered adding additional components, such as fresh lime juice and a splash of orange cordial, and voilà! Ranch Water, the signature cocktail of Texas, was created.

However, National Ranch Water Day was not created by RANCH2O Spirits until February 2021. The brand devised the concept of a special day to honour the delicate drink and promote the company’s mass-produced canned version of the cocktail.
