New Delhi to Patna Vande Bharat: Northern Railway is all set to make festival travel easier with a special Vande Bharat train running between New Delhi and Patna. The train will operate during the busy festive season from October 11 to November 15, 2025 to help passengers travel faster and more comfortably. People going home for celebrations will now have a safe and smooth journey.

Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, said “To facilitate the travel of passengers during ensuing festivals, Railways have decided to run Vande Bharat festival special trains. These special trains will cater to the increased demand for travel during festival season and ensure a comfortable and safe journey for all passengers.” The special service is designed to meet the extra rush of travelers during festivals.
New Delhi to Patna Vande Bharat: Details
The New Delhi–Patna Vande Bharat Special will run as Train No. 02252/02251. From New Delhi, the train will start on October 11, and from Patna, it will begin on October 12. The train will cover about 1,000 km in 13 hours, offering a fast connection between the two cities. From New Delhi it will leave at 8:35 AM and reach Patna by 9:30 PM the same day. It will stop at Aligarh, Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Buxar, and Ara stations.
The Patna–New Delhi service will operate as Train No. 02251 starting October 12. It will run every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, leaving Patna at 10 AM and reaching New Delhi by 11:30 PM. During the festive period, the Delhi–Patna train will run on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, making a total of 16 trips in the season.C
