New Genshin Impact DualSense Controller for PS5:Sony, in collaboration with HoYoverse (the creators of Genshin Impact), has officially announced a limited-edition version of the PS5 controller: [DualSense Wireless Controller Genshin Impact Limited Edition]

This isn’t just a standard DualSense, the controller showcases a visually striking design inspired by Genshin Impact’s world. It comes in a soft, ethereal palette combining white, gold, and green, decorated with arcane glyphs and emblematic motifs referencing the game’s iconic characters: the “Traveler” twins (Aether and Lumine) and their companion Paimon.

What Will It Cost You?

The recommended retail price for this limited-edition controller is US $84.99 (or equivalent regional prices: €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480).

Because it’s a collector-style limited-edition accessory, it’s more expensive than a standard DualSense. But given the unique design and the Genshin branding, many players may see it as worth the premium.

New Genshin Impact DualSense Controller for PS5: Pre-Orders and Release Dates

Pre-orders start: 11 December 2025 via PlayStation Direct (and select retailers) globally.

First wave release (Asia, including Japan): 21 January 2026.

Rest of world (North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, etc.): 25 February 2026.

Because quantities are limited, it’s likely this controller will sell out quickly, so if you’re interested, pre-ordering early will be key.

Sony Unveils PS5 Pro, But It Won’t Launch in India Anytime Soon: Here’s Why

What Makes This Controller Special?

This controller isn’t just about looks. It retains all the features of a regular PS5 DualSense, immersive haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, built-in mic, fast input and response, and full compatibility with PS5 games (including Genshin Impact on PS5).

But the real appeal is aesthetic and emotional: for fans of Genshin Impact, having a controller that feels like part of the world of Teyvat, complete with glyphs, character emblems, and a magical color scheme, makes gaming feel a bit more immersive, more personal. As HoYoverse says, it celebrates “years of adventure and companionship in Teyvat” and is meant as a collectible as much as a controller.

Also owning limited-edition gear like this can be a nice way to show off fandom, especially if you stream or play with friends.

Should You Pre-Order It?

If you love Genshin Impact, you enjoy collectible gaming gear, or you want your PS5 setup to reflect your fandom, then yes, pre-ordering this controller makes a lot of sense. It’s got both functional excellence (all the perks of DualSense) and the styling of Genshin Impact’s world.

But if you mostly care about performance and don’t care that much about aesthetics depending on how much you value the extra ₹/$/€ for looks, you might prefer a standard DualSense.
