A billboard in New Jersey featured a photo of President Donald Trump with the caption reading – “Our leader the idiot”. The controversial billboard, owned by Out Front Media, has sparked a massive local outrage.
The billboard has been up since last week in Union Township, a town of roughly 60,000 people about 12 miles (19 km) west of New York City.
The municipality quickly said they had no involvement with the billboard on Morris Avenue, posting on Facebook that billboards are privately owned and they have no authority or approving rights on what goes on them.

New York-based activist Neil Harrison told a news channel that he’s paying for the billboard to promote the documentary film he’s producing. The activist said since New York does not allow political messages on billboards, he chose New Jersey instead.
Union Township Public Information Officer Natalie Pineiro said the billboard does not violate any local ordinance or laws.
