Coca Cola, one of the world’s leading soft-drink Company has decided not to renew the contract with Salman Khan. He has been the brand ambassador for their product “Thums -up”.
The four year contract expired last month and according to media reports, a joint statement was released by the company which said that both parties did not want to renew the contract. Yet the company refused to comment on why they decided to drop the Bollywood Super Star.
Media reports also point out that the actor’s association with reality show, Bigg Boss is the reason behind his contract being terminated. Also, there are rumors that the company doesn’t want to spoil their business because of Salman’s statement in the favor of Pakistani actors after the Uri attack.
Industry sources says the company Coca Cola India is in touch with the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as a replacement, may be they are seeing Ranveer as a youth icon.
