The incident happened around 8:30PM when two motorcycle-borne assailants shot her near the Mitra Society under the jurisdiction of Beta II police station limits. Police said that the assailants shot three-four bullets at Sushma, who was wounded and collapsed on the ground.
Gautam Buddh Nagar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Krishna said that this was the second attack on the victim by her assailants. The woman was first attacked in Bulandshahr on August 10, following which an FIR was lodged under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code but none of the suspects were arrested by the police.
Police said they are registering an FIR for murder and have launched a search to arrest the criminals.
