Online tutoring startup Vedantu raises $11 Million in Series B round led by Omidyar Network

The funding has been received by the ed-tech startup after a gap of three years

The Bengaluru based online tutoring startup Vedantu has bagged a whopping $11 million in its Series B funding. Vedantu also saw the participation of its already existing investor Accel Partners. The funding was led by Omidyar Network.

Developed by Vamsi Krishna, Pulkit Jain, Saurabh Saxena and Anand Prakash, Vedantu allows teachers and students to participate in live learning sessions. The startup currently provides tutoring facility to students in grades 6th to 12th. Preparations for NTSE, KVPY, JEE is available online with the help of the portal.

Vedantu next hopes to tutor students for exams such as GMAT and GRE. The company currently provides its services in 80 cities with students in more than 30 countries.
