Open Signal report: Airtel ahead in video experience, download speed; Jio leads in 4G availability

According to Open Signal's (mobile analytics company) latest Mobile Network Experience Report 2020, Bharti Airtel won four awards in Video Experience, Games Experience, Voice App Experience, and Download Speed Experience.

Open Signal report: Recently, Open Signal examined different mobile networks including Airtel, BSNL, Jio, and Vi for 90 days and shared the reports. According to Open Signal’s (mobile analytics company) latest Mobile Network Experience Report 2020, Bharti Airtel won four awards in Video Experience, Games Experience, Voice App Experience, and Download Speed Experience. Followed by its close rival Reliance Jio that earned two awards namely 4G Availability and 4G Coverage Experience. Apart from Airtel and Jio, Vodafone Idea won the Upload Speed Experience award.

During the exam, Airtel got 55.6 out of 100 and won the Games Experience award, according to the judgment Airtel gives the best multi-layer mobile Game experience as compared to the other mobile networks. The newly merged Vodafone-Idea that is Vi won second place with 55.2 points.

Talking about the Video Experience award, Airtel won for the fourth time in a row and this time around it was the only operator to place in the Good (55-65) category for this measure of the mobile experience. Vi gained the second spot and Jio, BSNL third, fourth respectively.

Apart from Video experience, Airtel also secured the top position in the Voice App Experience award with a score of 75.5 out of 100 followed by Vi that got 74.4 points and BSNL fell to the last.

Airtel is leading in the Download Speed Experience award and for the sixth report in a row with a score of 10.4 Mbps. BSNL’s Download Speed Experience score fell by 0.2 Mbps if we compare it by last year’s report.

However, when it comes to 4G availability and 4G Coverage Experience, Jio continues to lead. Airtel saw its score increase by 1.1 percentage points and dominates Jio in Games Experience, Video Experience, Voice App Experience and Download Speed.
