Over 1.9 Million Videos Removed in India for Community Norm Violations: In India, more than 1.9 million videos were removed for violating YouTube’s community guidelines between January and March of 2023, according to a report published by the popular video streaming platform.

During the same time period, YouTube removed 6.48 million videos worldwide for violating community guidelines.

The Community Guidelines Enforcement report provides global data on YouTube’s policy enforcement and notifications received.

In India, over 1.9 million videos were removed between January and March 2023 for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines. In comparison, 6,54,968 videos were removed in the United States, 4,91,933 in Russia, and 4,49,759 in Brazil.

Since YouTube’s inception, our Community Guidelines have protected the YouTube community from potentially detrimental content. YouTube stated, “We enforce our policies using a combination of machine learning and human reviewers.”
